EBay Salsa's

Postby Burgerman » 07 Sep 2018, 03:22

2 pole, 6mph, VR2, Lift and tilt. Very cheap. As new. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/QUICKIE-SALS ... SwgslbCWpr

As above but 4mph, no lift, but basically new. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUNRISE-Quic ... SwEzxYODxR

Both cheap and once configured perfect backup chairs. Or watch for RNET and 4 pole motors on ebay, to make a project chair.

USED 600 pounds, includes 6mph 2 pole and tilt, and a CENTRE FOOTREST so you can move the seat back.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Salsa-R2-Pow ... Swy09beraP

Another power centre footrest salsa with tilt, and needs the seat moving back. 2 pole 4mph, 1 mile from new, 1/4 the price. Easy to mod!

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/QUICKIE-SALS ... 0005.m1851

Lots of mid drive ones if thats your thing!
https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_sop= ... 2&_sacat=0

Whats hard to find are 6mph 4 pole ones, when you see one, buy!

All of these rear drive ones can be tidied up with little work to look like this:

No. But to make best use of them you need r-net 120. Not 90. Or VR2.

I do check ebay from time to time just for the hell of it. I don't recall a brushless version coming up for sale or even that many Storm 4's, but like BurgerMan has shown there are loads of Salsa's and the like.

Are you looking for a brushless one? What type of budget? How much would the postage be

Here is an 8MPH one but its not brushless.

There is a German site that does new ones and posts worldwide.

Look a Invacare Storm 4 Xplore gearless brushless motors like Burgerman, you need only to programmed and change the wheels and you have a tank :D

You wont like the storm4 it doesent work, too heavy, brushless stalls and chair doesent function... Its why mine went back to its factory.

I have a storm3 that you can have cheap!
Complete with many spares. 2 additional motors, an extra power module, bus cables, lighting and seating modules and wiring/connectors and either REM24 or REM 550 etc.
Tyres are original, and barely worn. Chair looks like its been stored for many years mostly dust. and is old fashioned looking and nose heavy. Swing away footrests etc. Also spare tyres... Has solids on at the moment.

Its one of these:

But TT Brushless.

PM me if interested. But not any clue how it would be shipped. Seems impossible. So if anyone is interested in a project chair with plenty of ready to go spares, here is one! Needs decent seat, moving back, and centre footplate. Also inc programmer if you need one.

Well he is going to be mighty disapointed! 190A at the battery to turn the chair in place when EMPTY. And it can only do this for a fraction of a second before the software reduces current fast to a quarter of that. So it may turn on carpet once. Twice if you are lucky. It is faulty by design.

We didn't have such problems in our models , even the oldest one .
Is it on european model only ?
Design fault in motor / controller , or both ?

Its the weight, and you did have signs of the same problems even on the storm 3 models. If you program it to actually steer properly they dont like it. The controller just shuts down to protect itself.

But the 190kg storm 4 does this even when using the stock programming with a heavy user. Its bordeline OK if you weigh 50kg...

But it drives like a hovercraft.
